Fighting ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)

In celebration of ALS Awareness Month in May and Phi Delta Theta's adoption of ALS as it's official philanthropy, we have posted facts, news and helpful links about the disease and how to help in finding a cure.
July 4, 2009 was the 70th anniversary of Lou Gehrig's famous farewell speech at Yankee Stadium. MLB teamed with four major non-profit organizations to raise awareness for ALS. Many ballparks across the nation celebrated "Lou Gehrig Day" in commemoration.

Additionally, June 19, 2003 marked the 100th anniversary of Lou Gehrig's birth.
